Nothin much!

This morning, Dale got up and fixed breakfast! We had Bacon cheese sandwiches (we were out of eggs, so this is really all we had)! The kids didn't really eat much, they never do! We hung out for a little while, then we went to MawMaw's. The kids packed them a bag because they were determined to spend the night! When we got there, Maw Maw's sister Jonie was visiting from Texas with her husband, (at least I think they are married) Ray. We visited with them for a little while then Dale and I had to go to Hibbett and get Caitlyn some new shin guards for soccer. Her old ones are getting too small. Much to our surprise, it started to snow! Hayden really didn't know what to think, but he did notice that it was something different! After we went to Hibbett Sports, we ran in JCPenney to see if they had anything good on sale. Dale is not the best person to take with you if you are planning to shop. He basically made one lap around the store at about 70 MPH then he was ready to go! This was totally not fun for me and NO I didn't get to look at anything! Dale is one of those husbands who must think that the kids' clothes grow to fit them and there is NEVER a good reason to buy them! Anyways, I could go on all day about that! Dale's friend Kevin called as we were speeding through Penneys to say that they were coming over for a visit! They came over for a little while along with Michael and her two kids and Alyssa and Frank (her boyfriend). They didn't stay long and when they left, we went BACK to Abes Ole Feed House! Betty and Ralph had never eaten there before, so this time we all went, even Jonie and Ray! It was nice, but the place was packed! Caitlyn and Jack decided to go back with MawMaw and PawPaw. On the way home, Dale and I went to WalMart and picked up some eggs for pancakes in the morning and of course we needed diapers too!!! Now, Dale is on the couch watching Man Vs. Wild and Hayden is playing in his room! I am going to bed early tonight!!!

Crazy Day!

Today was busy!!! Mom and Dad brought over donuts this morning for the kids to eat before school. They loved them, it is funny how much they like cake donuts. Most kids like the regular donuts and I thought that cake donuts were for old people. I guess I was wrong!! Hayden, Grammy and I went to Walmart to pick up a few things and then came back home! I spent a lot of the day putting away laundry and cleaning the boys' room! I went to pick the kids up and it was POURING down raining! Tonight we all went to Abes Ole Feed House, Grammy and Paw Paw went with us! While we were there, Jennifer and Mark showed up! We have never eaten there before, but we will definitly go back! It was wonderful! Now, the kids are watching "Howie Do It" and then we are going to bed!!!

A Sign of Things To Come!

I called Dale this evening after he got home from work and Caitlyn answered. This is how our conversation went: ring ring
Caitlyn: Hi Mommy
Mommy: Who am I talking to? (they both sound alike)
Caitlyn: Caitlyn
Mommy: Where is Dad?
Caitlyn: I dont know
Mommy: Okay, where is the baby? (hopefully Daddy is near the baby)
Caitlyn: In his crib crying...(oh, crap)
Mommy: Do you think Daddy is okay?
Caitlyn: I dont know, I am playing the DS
Mommy: Could Daddy be outside?
Caitlyn: Not sure
Mommy: Try yelling for daddy.
Caitlyn: Mom, can I tell you something?
Mommy: okay, but make it quick, I am at work...
Caitlyn: Rileigh is not my friend anymore (they have been best buddies since kindergarten)
Mommy: Why not?
Caitlyn: Well, she wants to play with Emma (new girl) all the time and not me
Mommy: why don't you try playing with both of them?
Caitlyn: I HATE Emma
Mommy: We don't say Hate
Caitlyn: Well, I dont like her playing with Rileigh.
Caitlyn: She said that I was mean
Mommy: Why did she call you mean?
Caitlyn: Because I said that I didn't want to play with her
Mommy: Well, Caitlyn, that was mean
Caitlyn: I only want to play with Rileigh not her
Mommy: (getting nowhere with this conversation) You might like Emma if you got to know her
Mommy: I didnt like Shannon when I first met her and now we are best friends (totally never happened, but I thought it might work)
Caitlyn: Well, Emma is not Shannon
Caitlyn: Emma said I was selfish
Mommy: Why did she call you that
Caitlyn: Because I told her that I Did not want to play with anyone but Rileigh
Mommy: You don't own Rileigh and she can play with whomever she wants
Caitlyn: Well, I dont want to play with either one of them ever again
Mommy: That makes me sad because I know how much you love Rileigh
Caitlyn: Mom are you trying to make me upset, I just lost my best friend
Mommy: (thinking that things are only going to get worse as she gets older) Do you know where your Daddy is yet?
Caitlyn: NOPE
Daddy: Caitlyn, Hang up the phone.
click......
(guess Daddy was fine after-all)
ring ring
Daddy: hello
Mommy: where have you been?
Daddy: outside cooking pork chops on the grill
Mommy: Please get Hayden out of his crib!!!
I just thought that this was too funny! I am sure that this is only the beginning of things to come!!! Thank God that we only have one girl!!!

Boy, What a Day!

My day started at 5am...again! Hayden has been going to bed earlier than normal because he has been ill, that part has been nice! BUT, he is waking up earlier...not nice! Tonight, I put his behind to bed at 9! Hopefully, he will sleep till 6 or 7!
Today was insane! I was already tired which equals a bad mood in the laws of Shanna book! Then Dr Stanford comes in earlier than I was expecting, so I didn't get a lot done this morning. Our afternoon was crazy, lots of coughs and ear aches! Luckily, we have not had tons of flu yet! I did not clock out until 6:50pm! I didn't get home until after 7 because I decided to get McDonalds for the family on the way home. Dale could not cook supper because Hayden will not let you! He is very clingy lately! You should see him, he is covered in a rash...head to toe! I guess he has Roseola! I gave him some Benadryl and now he is fast asleep and hopefully the rash will be gone in the morning. Caitlyn and Jack are getting sleepy so it surely won't be long before they are asleep!

Dreading Tomorrow!

I wish I could freeze time right now! We had a great day today, but tomorrow will be a different story! The kids were a little whiney today, not sure why! Hayden is just plain crabby...I think his ears might still be bothering him. We went to WalMart today and I bought some new bathroom towels. We had a hodge podge of towels in the bathroom, no two were alike! I decided that after 10 years of marriage, we really needed to have some matching towels! Dale has played the Wii a lot with the kids today, they really enjoy MarioKart and SuperMario Brothers. Our Sunday morning waffle extravaganza went well! Dale broke my new waffle maker (I hated the dumb thing anyway), so we ended up eating pancakes! Everyone had a great time visiting, I sure do like that everyone can come here for a meal at least once a week. My extended family (grandpa and uncle) really don't communicate with my family a whole lot. We were not raised with much family around except for mom and dad. I really want my children to know that they do have Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents that care about them. I guess I will be making pancakes for a long time! Caitlyn had soccer practice tonight. Her team is the ONLY one of its kind from Benton. They have the only 6-10 year old team that is in a league. They will have to travel to most of the games though. Hopefully we will not go further than North Little Rock for now! She had fun, but this league is a big deal, so she has to be serious about it! She did good, her coach made them run laps around the Boys and Girls Club field, she HATED that!!! Dale is the assistant coach, which is nice! At least he will be at all of her games in case I have to work! Well, I have a headache, so I am going to take a HOTTTT bath and go to bed! Goodnight!

...

We are all tired at our house!!! Hayden is still sick, he was running 103 this morning (poor guy)! He had to get his 3rd Rocephin shot this morning and I had to give it to him! He is SOOO fussy, but hopefully he will start feeling better by tonight! Caitlyn won the Character Award again at school (must take after her mommy!!!!!!) Jackson is doing well, he has gotten blue at school every day this month (that is the best you can get)! He is doing so much better in school! Bella is also good...at least I think she is!!! She had to get a good brushin' today, so she is a little ticked off right now! We have a new member of the family, her name is Twinkle (a gerbil), she is also doing good! We thought for sure that she would have died due to all the noise around here, but she must be pretty resilient! I am very tired, work was incredibly busy today! We just kept seeing patients, but they never seemed to stop coming in! I didn't clock out until a little after 1pm! Dale was definitely ready for a break. Hayden refuses to be put down, you know how men are when they are sick!!!!!!!!! He is napping now, so I better go clean the kitchen while I can! Love you all...more later!

Been Busy!

Sorry I haven't blogged lately! Hayden has been very sick this week. He was diagnosed with a double ear infection on Monday and had to get a shot. He is on a 10 day antibiotic and seems to be feeling a lot better today! I got home a little late tonight and had to start some supper. Hayden is napping and Dale and the kids are watching Americal Idol. Work was crazy busy as usual! All of us at work are praying that spring will hurry up and get here!! Dale said that they were busy today, but he had a good day overall! Tomorrow is Caitlyn's dentist appt...I sure hope that she does not freak out! Well, I need to get off here and start some tea

It's Finally Over!!!

Today was wonderful, but I am so glad that the house is back to "normal!" Hayden had a great birthday party today! We had a house full of people and everyone seemed to have a good time! Dale smoked a pork butt and a beef brisket and we had grilled hotdogs, baked beans, coleslaw, chips and dip and cake! WE ARE STUFFED!!! Hayden REALLY enjoyed his cake! It didn't take him long to dig into it! He made a huge mess, but luckily Aunt Jen gave him a bath and cleaned him up! Dale's dad bought him a little weasel that is attached to a ball, it rolls around the floor and looks like it is alive...it was Hayden's favorite gift! Mom and Dad bought him the red car, we bought him a fisher price farm house, JohnDeere tractor and a FurReal bear, Aunt Jen bought him some MegaBlocks, Maw Maw bought him a phone and 4 outfits, Shannon and David bought him an outfit and some flipflops! I think that is all...

Dale and I went to the movies tonight and watched "Taken", it was a very good movie. I defintely recommend it! Then we went to Petco and looked at a gerbel for the kids. It was a creepy little animal, but I think the kids will like it! We plan on taking them there tomorrow to look at it! Thanks to Uncle Daniel, we dont have to buy the cage and feeding supplies! After we left Petco, we went to Hibbett Sports in BENTON (we tried the Bryant one, but they were very unhelpful) and bought new shoes! It is RARE for Dale and I to spend any money on ourselves...it always goes to the kids, but this was our Valentine's Day gift to each other. I haven't had new tennis shoes since Jack was a baby! Tomorrow, we are going to take Jack there to get a pair of shoes. Caitlyn just got a new pair last week at Kohls, so she has not been left out!!! Anyway, I am going to take a shower while Hayden is asleep! Enjoy the pics...

The Million Dollar Birthday Cake!!!

Our grand total was $98.81!!!!! Here are the pictures....

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

Mommy wants to cry every time I think about it! I am SO blessed to have Hayden in my life! He completes our family and brightens our days! What an unexpected miracle he was! All I ever wanted was to be surprised by a pregnany and God gave us that with Hayden! It is so hard going through any type of infertility treatments and I finally gave up! I was tired of the hormones and stress that it intales, I gave up! I am so honored that God decided that maybe we needed just one more! I will NEVER forget standing in the bathroom looking at the test in disbelief! What a bigger surprise when we learned that we were already 16 weeks pregnant! Four days after we found out that we were going to have baby number 3, we learned that it was a baby boy! I remember Caitlyn saying to the ultrasound tech that she wanted a girl! The tech said "I am sorry honey, but I dont get to make it a boy or a girl!!" Caitlyn absolutely loves her baby brother now! How could you not love him...he is absolutely precious!!! Now that I am about to cry, I think I will go help Dale clean the kitchen!

Here is a poem that I want to dedicate to my 1 year old!!!

Author: Maryann K Cusimano

I am your parent you are my child

I am your quiet place, you are my wild

I am your calm face, you are my giggle

I am your wait, you are my wiggle

I am your audience, you are my clown

I am your London Bridge, you are my falling down

I am your Carrot Sticks, you are my licorice

I am your dandelion, you are my first wish

I am your water wings, you are my deep

I am your open arms, you are my running leap

I am your way home, you are my new path

I am your dry towel, you are my wet bath

I am your dinner you are my chocolate cake

I am your bedtime, you are my wide awake

I am your finish line, you are my race

I am your praying hands, you are my saving grace

I am your favourite book, you are my new lines

I am your nightlight, you are my sunshine

I am your lullaby, you are my peek-a-boo

I am your kiss goodnight, you are my I love you

I have shopped until I dropped!

I dropped the kids off at school this morning at 8am, then met Betty here so we could go shopping in Little Rock for Hayden's birthday presents. Our destination was "Toy Up", but when we got there at 8:45, we read that they don't open until 10am!! We spent about an hour looking around WalMart and then we finally got to go to Toy Up. What a crazy expensive store that was...needless to say, I will NOT be going back! Perhaps if I was a brain surgeon instead of a mere medical assistant, I could afford those toys!! We ended up going to ToysRUs and he found a toy that he REALLY wanted! It only cost $17, so we went to look at some clothes! This lady starts telling us that they just put all of their underwear and panties on sale for $1.50 a package! They were the cute character underwear like Transformers, ScoobyDoo and SpiderMan! We spent about $50 on underwear for Caitlyn, Jackson, Laura and Austin! I think my kids ended up with over 25 pair of underwear a piece! Totally silly for us to do, but it was fun! Then we went to Olive Garden and ate lunch! Hayden was starving, he was so good today! On our way back home, we stopped by BabiesRUs and bought a few outfits for him! All in all it was a busy, but nice day! This evening I had to make an emergency trip to Kohls to get some new shoes for Caitlyn, hers were AWEFUL! She insisted on these light up Sketchers! They are cute, but I was sure hoping that we were moving past the light up shoe phase! She is so full of surprises! Well, Hayden is in Dale's lap crying for me, so I have to go...more later!!!

3 more days!

Just three more days until my baby turns one!!! I found out that his birthday cake is going to cost me $90.00, I thought I was going to have a heart attack! Dale was very calm about it though, I think we both decided that he is the baby and our last "first" birthday so we wanted it to be special! Luckily, mom said that she would pay for some of it, thank God!!! Today was busy, but Dr.Stanford was needing to get out of there by 6pm, so I got off a little earlier than usual. We went to Larry's for supper. Hayden said "apple" for the first time while we were there! He can talk pretty well...it is amazing how well he enunciates his words. He also drank from a straw for the first time. Usually, we get the drink in our straw then put it in his mouth, but tonight he actually learned how to suck it from the straw! I'm telling ya'll that he is a child prodegy!!! Ha Ha!!! Jackson got blue again today at school...that is the best you can get! Today makes 7 days in a row that he has gotten blue! I went to Caitlyn's school today to take a picture of her standing next to the board that had her listed as Student Of The Month, but I couldn't find it anywhere! I asked the office where it was and they didn't offer much help. Apparently, the counselor is the one who deals with that and she was too busy to talk! I did hear that Caitlyn's picture is going to be in the Benton Courier some time this month, so I guess I will have to scrapbook that instead! Anyway, I am off tomorow and Betty and I are going to go to "Toy Up" and look for Hayden a birthday present! I thought Caitlyn's dentist appt was tomorrow, but it is the 19th, so she will not get to go with us! Well, it is time for the Wright children to go to bed so I must go! Love Yall!!!

Just Another Manic Monday!

Mondays are the worst!! It is AMAZING that we have that many sick kids that need to be seen! We were very busy today, needless to say! It was a good day though, I kind of like it when we are busy because the day flies by! This morning when I was looking through Caitlyn's backpack, I saw a letter that was folded up in her bag. It said that Caitlyn has been chosen as Angie Grant's Student of the Month! She was picked because she has good character and is polite and helps others. I was SOOOO proud of her! I said Caitlyn, why didn't you tell me that you got this award? She just said, Oh, I forgot! She is so humble!!! Jackson, on the other hand, will probably NOT get that award!!! Ha Ha...just kidding! He is precious and actually, he always thinks of others! He is very caring, especially when you can see past his hyperactivity! Hayden had a great day today...just 4 more days until he is 1 year old! The picture above was taken of him after he was born! Just makes me sad looking at it...It is sad to think that we are done having babies, but eventually we have to stop (we are not the Duggars)!! My sister is trying to have a baby and so is my brother and his wife, so that should help get over the whole baby thing for me!!! Well, I have to go put kids to bed...love yall

The Wheels on the Bus...

Dale broke out his guitar today and Hayden was mesmerized! He played "The Wheels On The Bus" for him and he danced and tried to sing along! I had to take some pictures! Yes, that is Caitlyn in the back playing a tamborine! We pretty much took it easy today! We did clean out one of the sheds out back and put some stuff aside for a yard sale this spring. We had our Sunday morning waffle breakfast, it was nice to have everyone over. I did not like the new waffle maker that I bought! It is supposed to cook four at a time, but I was not impressed with the quality of the waffle it made! Maybe I will get used to it, otherwise, we will be eating mostly pancakes from now on! We went to Betty and Ralph's for supper tonight, Hayden had a ball playing on the porch! We didn't get to stay long because we had to get back and take baths and prepare for tomorrow. Right now they are all playing in Caitlyn's room. Dale is watching Monster Quest (they NEVER find one!!!) and I am about to look up how to plant a garden. We are going to try to have a garden this summer. I think it will be good for the kids to learn how to nurture something and watch it grow! Anyway, I have lots to do....love you all

Just Another Day In Paradise!

We had a WONDERFUL day today! This morning, Dale went out and started yard work. The kids went out with him and helped him burn leaves and gum balls. My dad is in town this weekend, so they came over a few times today! Mom brought us this wheelbarrel that she found at my brothers new house, but Dale did not need it. I took a picture of my dad giving my mom a ride across the street in the wheelbarrel! It was hilarious!!! Mom bought Hayden a new car today! It is for his birthday, but she gave him a sneek peek today and he loved it! I took some pictures for you to see! We went to Target today and bought the Carnival game for the Wii machine! The kids have been playing it for about three hours now and mommy is catching a break! Dale took my dad to the movies tonight to watch some sci-fi movie...I really don't remember the name! Hayden is napping, so mommy is getting some quality "Blog" time in!! Tomorrow is our Pancake/Waffle Sunday! We are slowly getting a house full on Sundays now! Tomorrow I have to make waffles for my family, my mom and dad, Jennifer, Mark and Hannah!!! I sure hope they turn out good!! Our goal is to try a different kind of waffle or pancake every Sunday! I hope that we will be able to continue this tradition for many years, that way our children will still come home on Sundays even when they are grown! Anyway, take a look at the pictures...

I am applying to be a librarian!

How could a librarian possibly have a bad day! The worst thing that could possible happen to her would be not being able to find a book! And besides, there is a limit to how loud you can even be in a library! Needless to say, I had an encounter with an upset mother today! It is understandable to want to protect your child, but you brought him to us to fix him and then you want to act a "fool" when we have to draw blood! I just don't get it! I have to say that a circumstance rarely arise where I need someone to come to my defense, but after I had been yelled at and my hand slapped, I needed Dr.Stanfords help! That mom was NUTS!!! The kid was actually being fairly calm, but his mother, however was not! Dr.Stanford did tell the mom that I was very good at what I do and he was sorry that she didn't agree with him! I was so shocked that she was so upset...the bad part was that I did get his blood, but it was not coming fast enough. All I did was try to move the needle out a little to see if that would cause the blood to come faster, before I new it, the mom was having a cow! I probably should not have been so bothered by it, but I am a perfectionist and I hated that she had gotten that upset! I do have to say that even though I was still reeling about that blood draw when Dr.Stanford comes out of the next room and orders a blood draw on a 4 week old. I was freaking out a little inside because I was afraid that psycho mom had messed up my mojo, but that blood draw went very smoothe and his mother was very calm! That restored my confidence! My kids are wonderful! We are watching American Idol and then Criminal Minds, then it is bed time!!! Tomorrow is another day ...

I want to be a stay at home mom!!

What a nice day! I love that the only decision in my life today was to either take a shower or take a nap! I always feel like a better mommy when I am at home, I am not as stressed for sure! Hayden was a dream today, he is such a sweetheart! The kids had a great day at school and Dale seemed to have a good day at work. We had to go grocery shopping tonight at Kroger...our grand total was $244...how could we ever afford more kids! God bless the Duggars!!! We bought some fruit, yogurt and granola and had parfait's after dinner! I have stuck to my resolution of being a better planner this week. I already have the batter ready for waffles in the morning. Caitlyn did not have any homework tonight so things have been pretty relaxed around here! I washed all the bedsheets today and sprayed the whole house down with lysol (not for any real reason, I just thought it would help kill the stomach virus that Dale and I just recovered from). Oh, I almost forgot, Hayden had his first real injury today! He was in the bathroom (with me of course) and he was standing at the tub and fell hitting his forehead on the edge of the bathroom door. He has a very small scratch on his forehead! He cried for a long time, but eventually got over it. It looks fine now, but I thought I should take a picture for his scrapbook...I posted a picture for you to see...He is so cute! Love you all and hopefully tomorrow will be as nice as today was...ha ha

I hated my job today!

Today was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day! I don' want to get into a lot of details about it, but it was horrible! Then, I came home and my computer was acting up and I thought that I had lost all of the pictures that I have not had a chance to burn them to a disc. I was FREAKING out about it. Luckily, my wonderful husband saw that I was about to have a heart attack and he fixed it for me! Shannon is a doll and she made my new header for my blog. Thank God for smart people! I would like to give a shout out to two different people tonight! First of all Gwynn at work! At first, I wasn't sure if I liked you or not, but it sure didn't take long for you to start growing on me!! You ARE a hard worker and no matter what else, Dr.Stanford and I need you. Second of all, I would like to say congratulations to all Medical Assistants and Medical Assistant students! It is not easy to devote your time to any form of school, especially if you have children. Way to go for even trying to do it! You are in no way any less of a person for chosing this path versus becoming a "real nurse". I love what I do, and there is no "degree" that would make me any happier! Sometimes, it is not all about the money! I do not feel like I am an under-acheiver for doing what I did...it was hard as heck and I did it! Eventually, I do plan on going back to school, but it is just a plan, and if I never get around to it, I will be okay! I am happy. Now that I have that out of the way, maybe I can sleep a little easier tonight! The kids are happy as usual! Jack is upset because he fell at school today and has two (very tiny) scratches on his knee. He wants me to make it go away...I already tried bandaids, but he said that wont work! I finally just told him that he would have to be big and deal with it. Caitlyn is being moody as usual, she is going to be a great teenager! Hayden is sleepy (yesssss) so I will be laying him down after I get done blogging. Now, Jack is standing in front of Dale holding a Princess book and asking Dale to read it to him! Dale absolutely refuses to read his son a book about princesses!!! Hayden keeps trying to turn off the computer, so I guess I should go ahead and put him to bed! Tomorrow will surely be a better day ( I am OFF). I will let you know how it goes...

Getting Ready for Monday!

I HATE Mondays...Hate 'em!!! Tomorrow, I am sure we will be crazy busy! The good thing is that the day will usually fly by because we are so busy! I am off Tuesday and that is WONDERFUL! Jennifer came over and ate waffles this morning and we hung out for a little while and then she had to go grocery shopping. Caitlyn and Jack were at their MawMaw's and after Hayden layed down for his morning nap, Dale and I cleaned the house! It is a lot easier to clean when there are no kids in the way! We got so much done, of course tonight as I sit here "blogging", you really cannot tell that we worked so hard on it today! We did our taxes today and it looks okay so far! I hope we will be able to pay off a lot of bills and have a little fun too! I almost dread work tomorrow, there seems to be a lot of drama lately! I think we are all getting a little cabin fever and ready for summer to get here. The winter months really take their toll on us at the clinic. Things are very stressful and we work longer hours, that makes us all a little crabby! The home life is great!! The kids are silly and growing like weeds! I can't wait for summer to get here and let Hayden go outside more! Mom went to Daniel's this weekend and seemed to have a good time! She is adjusting to "sharing" her baby! We did get to spend a little time with Shannon and David this weekend! They bought a new TV, and "Handy Man" Dale got to go put it together for them! Then we went and ate Chinese food...not my favorite, but it was nice getting to visit outside of work! Anyway, if you remember my "next week resolution" was to be a better mommy and try to plan ahead a little, I must stop blogging and get to plannin for tomorrow. More later...
