Happy 8th Birthday Caitlyn!

What a crazy busy day! We left home this morning around 9:30 to get Jackson's hair cut. The lady did a good job, but she cut more off the top than we really wanted her to. Then we went to Walmart to get the cake (Dale almost had a heart attack because the cake was $30 but Hayden's cake was almost $100).

We got back home and cleaned up a little and got ready for the party. Her theme was Hawaiian and we decorated accordingly. It was really cute. This was the easiest birthday we ever had. The kids were so good and the mood was very calm. She opened her presents and loved everything...especially the brick (thanks again Uncle Mark)!! He put a brick in her present to make it weigh a lot!

We had cake, ice cream, hot dogs, chips and dip. After the party, Hannah Cantrell and Hannah Work decided to spend the night which was fine with me. Jackson went home with MawMaw because he is not into all this girl drama. The girls sang karaoke and made jewelry, they swam and then we went to the park. We had pizza for supper and the girls decided to play on the Wii. David came back this evening after watching a game at the park and decided to take Hannah home because she was going to be doing a lot tomorrow and he wanted her well rested. To be honest I think he was thinking that she was bothering me, but anyway we decided that she could come back on Thursday night. Now the girls are singing again and Hayden is watching. Dale and I are exhausted...enjoy the pics.

Little Miss Sunshine!

I was pretty proud of this picture! I took this outside today at Caitlyn's birthday. I cant wait to post her birthday pics!

Blanchard Springs Caverns

Today was GREAT! We left the house around 8am and we got to Greenbrier before the kids had to get out (that was about an hour into the trip). We stopped at a gas station and let Hayden walk around some and we all went potty! I have to admit, we are pretty lucky in the potty area, my kids never need to stop and pee when we are in the car. They usually can ride for a long time before I have to stop and pee and then they will go.
Anyways, we drove to Blanchard Springs Park and had a picnic lunch at the park, it was HOTTT outside. We ate under this huge pavilion and we were the only ones there, it was so quiet. After eating, we went to the Cavern. The kids enjoyed the gift shop, but started to get scared when we got on the elevator. Caitlyn thought it was taking us up in the air...she is so silly. Jackson was okay until we got into the cave and then he decided that it wasn't his thing and was ready to go! He finally calmed down and we completed the tour. The caves were so beautiful and the weather down there was wonderful. I decided that we must take "cave" vacations every summer. I could have taken a nap in there it was so nice. The kids were really good actually. Hayden started to get a little bored towards the end of the tour, but he was easily distracted. I just kept thinking, Lord, please do not send us an earthquake!! Our tour guide said that an earthquake would not bother us because we were so far down, but all I could think of is the ceiling falling down on us...Of course, I did not share those thoughts with the kids!!!
After we left the cave, we told the kids that we would take them to the Springs so they could get their feet wet. When we got there, they had signs all over saying that the water was contaminated with E-Coli and we were not able to let the kids get in. They were soooo mad, but we promised to find something else fun that they could do.
We went to the Ozark Folk Center, but they didn't have much going on. We bought the kids some souvenirs in the gift shop and then we left.
We stopped by Pickles Gap on the way home and bought some fudge (I know I am on a diet, but it looked so good, I promise not to eat much)! After we left there we drove in to Conway and ate supper at a Chinese restaurant.
The kids acted up a little on the way home because they were absolutely exhausted. We finally arrived back home and the older two went home with MawMaw. Hayden went right to bed and I went to Mom's to show her the pics. She decided that it was time to teach Missy how to drive and asked me to go. Despite my better judgement, I went with them to the high school parking lot. It started out pretty well, but then she started going really fast and I decided it was time to go home. Mom was patient with her like she was with me, but after being in the car all day, I just wanted to go home! Now, I am going to rest in the peace and quiet!!

Playing on Picassa

I got brave today and decided to play on Picassa...here are the results! They look really good to me!

Little Daredevil!

Okay, do you see that? I was in the living room and Hayden was just walking around getting into stuff as usual! I saw him go in the kitchen, but didn't really pay it too much attention...after all my house is fairly baby proof. I have cabinet locks on the kitchen cabinets and all the medicine is kept up in a cabinet...I thought that was enough! All of a sudden, I heard the gerbil's cage door slam shut. I thought, "that sounds like Twinkle's cage door that just shut." Well, nobody was in the kitchen except for Hayden (the gerbil's cage is on the kitchen table. I keep it there because she is very active at night and it keeps Caitlyn up. I dont really have anywhere else to put her where Hayden cannot reach her). The only way that he could be messing with her cage was if he was ON the kitchen table. I went running into the kitchen and there he was...standing on the table wearing his shirt that says "I Love Danger". I thought your last baby was supposed to be the easiest! So now, the kitchen chairs are on the kitchen table. I usually have a baby gate up, but it gets to be a lot of trouble after about the 30th time of stepping over a gate in a 10 minute period! Anyways, I just thought I would share that with you.

Happy Fathers Day Dale, Dad and Ralph!!!

Today has been great! The older two spent the night at Maw Maw's last night (seems like an every weekend thing)! Dale and I got up early and he started smoking a brisket for supper. I did my Wii Fit stuff and then Mom and Dad took us to IHOP for Father's Day. We came back home and I cleaned up to get ready for our Father's Day cookout. We had the smoked brisket, cole slaw, barbecue beans, and stuffed jalapeno peppers (thanks Dave for the recipe). We had a cookie cake for dessert (yum)! It is hard to diet on a holiday like today. Actually, I have lost about 6 pounds over the past 9 days! I got my dad a fishing tackle box, Dale got some electric hedge trimmers and we got Ralph a thing to take camping that keeps the mosquitoes and flies away. The kids have had a great day too, they got to go swimming in the pool that Grammy got them. Just a little while ago, Caitlyn came in the house hollering that Jackson had a spider in his hair and it was biting him. Jack came in right behind her screaming. I was in the boys' room and came running to see. Dale was looking at his head trying to find what they were talking about. Well, ended up it was a tick...who knows where it came from. Luckily, Caitlyn saw it, but she did freak him out about it! His hair is sooo thick and curly that it is hard to see, but when it was wet in the pool I guess you could see it better. Dale got it off...all of it. I put some Neosporin on it and he is fine now. All in a days work, right? Needless to say, I am exhausted and the kiddos are showing no signs of being tired yet!

I Need A Time Out!

Please please please put me in time out!!! I have been home all day with the kids and today was not as smooth as my last off day! Caitlyn and Jack have fought all day, they hate each other it seems! Jack has been extra whiney today and that makes everyones day bad!
MawMaw came over for a few minutes and found Hayden's pool that I bought him last year on sale. I have been looking everywhere for it and she found it in the attic. I dont go up there because of my fear of spiders! I blew it up and let the kids get in it. It is verrrry small, but it did the job just fine! They also got to play in an Octopus water sprinkler that has been in the shed for years. They had a great time and I got some cute pics.
I am thinking about taking my kids to Haskell and letting them walk on the railroad tracks and taking some black and white pictures. Also, Betty and Ralph have a cool old farm gate in the back yard that belongs to the guy behind them. The background is nice so I think I will also take some pics of them on the gate. Hopefully, I can arrange this next week when I am off. I will post the pics when I take them. Anyways, I am going to get off here. More later...

Horray For My Off Day!!!

I am off tomorrow!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was fun, I love it when days go smooth! We were kind of busy, but not crazy busy! Dale and I ate lunch together at Larry's Pizza which was nice. It is funny how we never go anywhere where we are not recognized. Dale knows all the men and I know all the women and children! I got off around 5:30 and came home to three dirty kids! They had been outside playing in the yard and were covered in dirt from head to toe. I gave them a bath and then went to Walmart with mom to get a cabinet lock because Hayden keeps getting into the cleaners under the kitchen sink. I really never need under the sink, so I thought...until I put the dang lock on the door and now it seems like I have needed in there more for some reason. Every time I need in there, I have to take the lock off, it is kind of annoying. I am thinking about trying something else because it is already getting on my nerves to have to unlock it every time I need in there! We ate barbecue biscuit sandwiches that my dad made. I think he took some of Kris' recipe and twisted it to make his own concoction! They actually tasted pretty good, we may have to try them again soon! Dale did not come home until around 9pm and so I had to wrangle the kids into getting pj's on and getting to bed by myself...in case you can't picture that...it was 3 against 1, the odds were not in my favor! I did it though, them rascals were asleep when Dale got home! I am such a good mommy!!! Ha Ha, I think I am delirious now, so I am going to bed...more later...

Mondays...yuck!

Well, this morning our internet server was down, so we could not use our computers to put patients in. We had to go back to using paper...it was so weird! It only lasted about 30 minutes or so, but it was crazy while it lasted.

Hayden spent the night at MawMaw's last night with the other two. He had fallen asleep and I guess he didnt intend on waking until morning. I felt bad waking him up so we could leave, so I just let him stay. I almost had Dale turn around and go back to get him. I knew he was safe, but I missed him already! He was fine...of course!

Tonight, we ate pork roast with mom and dad, it was sooo good. I made Mac and Cheese and mashed potatoes to go with it. Now we are playing the Wii machine. We have decided that we will work out for 30 minutes a day on the Wii Fit. This morning, I was sooo sore that I felt like I had been ran over by a semi truck. I am comitted to doing it though. I can actually feel the results and that makes me happy.

Congratulations Dr. Stanford, his oldest son became a daddy this morning at 1:45ish. The baby is named Jacob Allan after his daddy and Grandpa. Dr.Stanford seemed so happy today, he was ready to get out of there and go see the baby. Dr.Irwin brought in a pic of him and he is so cute. So now he has two grandkids...wow he is getting old!!!!! :)

Fun In The Sun!!

Today was HOT! We got up early and ate waffles (cooked by myself). We lounged around for a little while and then went to Best Buy and Petco. We bought the Wii Fit game, it is totally awesome...my legs are killing me! We also bought Caitlyn the Nintendo DS game that she has been wanting (Nintendogs Chihuahua). She knows we bought it, but she cannot have it until her birthday. She was okay with that plan. We looked around Petco, but didn't buy anything. We left there and went to Target's parking lot because they were having some fire safety thing going on. The kids got to go into a trailer and go through a simulation of what they should do if the house ever catches on fire. It was cool because they actually fill the room with smoke and the kids have to crawl out of a window into a fireman's arms. They learned a lot and had a good time looking at the fire truck and ambulance. It made me realize that we REALLY need to talk about what they should do if that ever happens. We went home after that so Hayden could take a nap. Shannon Work called and we made plans to go over there for supper so the kids could swim. My legs were killing me from my Wii workout, but the pool water seemed to help a little. Hayden got to go swimming too and he loved it! All of my kids have been water babies. We ate turkey burgers, chips and dip and grilled jalapeno peppers wrapped in bacon and filled with cream cheese. They were sooooo good. We got home around 8:30 and I left to go get a few things from Walmart. Now I am back home and I am going to bed. Tomorrow should be just as exciting. I will fill you in tomorrow night!

The Weekend is Here!!

The weekend is finally here! Yeah!!! Nothing planned really. We are probably going to do some birthday shopping for Caitlyn and then take the kids swimming at Maw Maw's. They have been in the house all week and need a break! We bought some pizza kits last night and let the kids make their own pizza's! They actually tasted really good! Everyone is sleeping in this morning except me...I have work to do! Have a great weekend and I will post more later! Hopefully I can get some good pics of the kids today.

No Cavities!!!

Sorry I have not blogged lately! Nothing has been going on. I think we are all still recovering from Aunt Katie and Uncle Will's visit which was so much fun and we miss them already, but it has been nice to have the kids back at home!! I miss them when they spend the night away from home!

Well, today, I had to take the kids to see Dr.Mazurek (the dentist). I took all three kids by myself...it was a death wish!!! Hayden was not being seen, but it is good to take him as much as possible when the older kids go to get him used to being there and seeing that the dentist is nice! He got to lay on the bed and let the light shine in his mouth...he even got his own toothbrush from him! He was not sure what was going on, so we didn't push it with him. Jackson was first, his mouth is amazing! His teeth are perfectly spread apart and no sign of anything bad to come. He does not have any cavities and was such a good boy today! Caitlyn is my brave girl, she just lays there so still. Her mouth is a train wreck to me, but he said that it is not that bad to him. She had 4 teeth pulled there in March, but it looks like she may still need to have more taken out. She has always had a mouth full of baby teeth and now that her "adult" teeth are coming in, she is really cramped for space. I am trying to get by without having to pay for braces, but we will always do what is in her best interest. She is also cavity free! I don't know why, but that is always like my mommy report card! I am crazy about their teeth and pretty much insist that they brush them after eating anything sweet, but I don't always make them brush before bed, so I am always expecting him to say that they have a cavity! Anyways, then I had to grocery shop, make a bank deposit, mow the back yard, go eat lunch with Dale and entertain the kids! What a day! Unfortunately, I could get used to this! It is so nice being at home with them! I feel more rested now that Winter is over at the clinic. I have learned that once the first patient comes in with Swimmers Ear that winter is over and summer is finally here! Well goodnight for now!

Pool Pics

Here are some cute pool pics. These were done tonight at Betty and Ralph's house...enjoy
